Research Topic & Project

Identification of small RNA mRNA targets using computational and experimental methods

Education

B.S. Microbiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2012

M.S. Microbiology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2014

Alisa is currently employing both experimental and computational methods for sRNA target identification. She is utilizing an sRNA target prediction pipeline called SPOT (sRNA Target Prediction Organizing Tool) to identify additional mRNA targets for well-characterized sRNAs.

In addition to her expertise in sRNA target identification, Alisa is the lab expert in science communication, board/video games, and guinea pigs.
